Let's assume you dislike gay people, are you
saying your like or dislike does not take any
freedom away from those gay people? I am sure
this is not true. First assuming you are an employer,
you probably will not hire them ....
The above is an example that you do not affect
"the state"'s policy but still you take away other
people's freedom. And there is more than this: if
the percentage of people who dislike gay people is
large, this will certainly reflected in the law,
"the state" is changed.
So what you like or dislike can potentially take away
other's freedom.
