Like I said, they later became experts with advanced training at graduate level and at work, thus joined the main scholarly stream. From that point, they were not amateurs any more. But before that, as a worker or technician in a factory, with undergraduate training in math, its fair to call they "minke" during that period of time. That's what I was trying to say.
