if you want the system to achieve the level of security required by military, it's definitely not user-friendly, and vice versa.
the examples you mentioned are fine, but i don't think they are secure enough for military without enforcing extra security patches/policies.
of course, i agree that it takes a long time for Kylin (or other make-in-china OSes) to achieve what have already been achieved by others.
e.g., dancefire mentioned that Kylin uses a kernel space web server, which is not good for security. i agree with him and i think it actually reflected that the designers of Kylin lack the basic sense of security. actually this is a good example of the trade-off: a small improvement in the performance would put the system at greater risks.
