Because americans showed little respect to China as a country, not Hu the individual. And Hu as the head of the chinese government sheepishly accepted Bush's cheap and careless expressed "sorries."

And I haven't seen anybody to take responsible for the lapses.

I suggest the chinese government should demand to take the security issue in its own hand for later leader visits.
