Not even close, even if it were a true story.
However, now here's an interesting theory: it is well known that there was a cultural syncretism between the culture of Classical Greece and Buddhism (this is called Greco-Buddhism) for 800 years (400 BC - 400 AD). It is quite conceivable that the story of Archimedes reached China via India, with the object of measurement changed by the Indians into their favourite animal. :D
