But what you experienced is common, I heard a Shakespeare expert from China does not know who Shakespeare is, it turned out, while having no problem reading, the pronunciation of Shakespeare in his mind is: Sha ke si pi er, Shakespeare pronounced by native English speaker sounds totally different to him :-)
