这哥们给浮萍的书一个了五星。:)

This review is from: Bend, Not Break: A Life in Two Worlds (Hardcover)
What a well-conceived and inspirational memoir!

Like many Americans, I am touched by the author's personal-life story from her misery past as a young girl in China to her triumph as a successful entrepreneur in 3D printing in the United States. With the assistance of the ghost writer "Fox", the author documented her own story of a little girl who had endured perhaps the most miserable life of mankind and surrounded by "A series of unfortunate events" during and right after the "Cultural Revolution" in the communist China, and was later saved and nurtured by the capitalist America to become a successful high-tech entrepreneur and one of American's Presidential advisers. What a misery to success story! Everyone from a developing country, particularly young female students in China or just arrived in the United States should read it. I'm sure it will inspire you and change your life forever.

The most valuable aspect of this book is that, as a pioneer in 3D printing, the author conveyed an important message: her success can be "printed in 3D". Here is the recipe:

Step 1: Select the right candidates (raw materials)

The candidates must be from a country with a culture and political system different from that of the United States. If you are from China, you come from the right place, and are the right "raw" material for "copy printing" the next success story;

Step 2: Initial preparation

Have you had a miserable life in your country? If so, congratulations, you need little or no preparation. If not, please use your emotional imagination to "create" some miserable past experiences in your life, such as being forced to watch a teacher being killed by being tied to 4 horses, or being sent to a labor camp for 10 years.

Step 3: Believe in yourself

Remember, it is important you believe in your stories, whether they were real or imagination. Never admit you fabricated your past. If for any reason any one questions the authenticity of your story, label them as a smear campaign with ulterior motives by the evil force.

Step 4: Learn 3 English words

It is important to know a little English, but forget about spending a fortune to attend intensive English training programs, since you will only need to know 3 English words. It doesn't matter which 3, though. The 3 words can be different from time to time, but make sure you know how to ask for "help".

Step 5: Upset your government

If you don't like to stay in China, here is what you should do: do something that will upset your government, such as criticizing China's one-child policy or else. However, you'd better make sure, you have the sympathy of China's paramount leader who will intervene in your favor in case you really messed up with the Chinese government.

Step 6: Take the offer and come to the United States

After you really messed up with the Chinese government, you will likely be given choices to either go to the United States to study or be assigned to work in a remote part of China. Of course when such opportunities arise, make sure you take the first choice, and remember to ask the Chinese government to buy you a one-way ticket to the west plus a Traveler's check that is barely enough to get you to your final destination.

Step 7: If you are kidnapped on your way to your US destination, don't sue the kidnapper

It is most likely that when you just arrive in the United States, a Vietnamese looking Chinese will approach you and kidnap you for 3 days. If this really occurs, congratulations, you are one step closer to success. Stay calm. You will only be asked to take care of the kidnapper's 3 children. Police officers will come to your rescue in 3 days. Remember, don't sue the kidnapper since you don't want to leave any trail of this exciting experience in the record.

Step 8: Marry a US citizen or ask for political asylum whichever is more convenient and faster to get your green card

To be successful in the United States, being able to stay in this country legally is a must. If you are ahead of the game in getting legal permanent residence status in this country compared with the tens of thousands of other foreign students, you are another step closer to success. Oh, forget to tell you, it is not important to remember your marriage. Just pretend this marriage never occurred. What is important is your green card, not your husband.

Step 9: Open a business

Now comes the critical part. You have to start a new business. Don't know how? Not a problem. Just marry someone who has the knowledge and establish a joint venture with him. If you are married and can't marry a second man, not a problem. Just divorce the first one. You only needed the first marriage to get your green card anyway.

Step 10: Own your business

Now, if your joint business venture becomes successful, you need to figure out a way to make sure it becomes yours. The easiest way is to divorce your partner. Most likely your life-changing story would have already touched the hearts of millions of Americans. You are their hero. They will not question your motive of whatever you do. Again, remember, it is not important to remember your second husband. The only thing that is important now is your business, wealth, and fame.

Last step: Find a ghost writer

If you decide to write a memoir to share your success story, be sure to find a ghost writer, either a Fox or an Ox. In case people find discrepancies between your memoir and the facts, you can deflect the criticism to your ghost writer. Remember, never admit you lied.

If you have followed the above recipe, it is very likely the 3D printer will have successfully printed another "misery to success" story.

Congratulations!
