I am sorry to inform that Professor George E. P. Box, one of the most influential statisticians of modern times passed away on March 28, 2013.

He was the founder of the Statistics Department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and one of the pioneers in the neo-Bayesian revival of the 60's.
