Reports surfaced today that usernames and passwords for users of LinkedIn and eHarmony have been compromised.  If you have an account with either site and you use the same password elsewhere, we strongly encourage you to change those passwords on those sites.  With your compromised username and password, someone can log into other sites where you may have used the same username/password and get your credit card information or worse.  Therefore, we recommend that you change your password on any site using that password.  Since the source of the compromise at LinkedIn and eHarmony has not been identified, we recommend that you not use the same password on either of these sites anywhere else.
Next, since this news has been made public, it has been reported that the news is being used for new phishing attacks.  If you receive email purporting to be from LinkedIn or eHarmony, do not click on any links or open any attachments.   Also do not provide any personal identification information (username, password, etc) via email.
