When you say research experiences, are you talking about experiences as Ph D projects and post doc projects, or as principle investigators (such as a professor)?
I'd be surprised if, exceptional circumstances not withstanding, many professors from a research university would be interested in working in a non-research university. The only reasons I can think of would be if they cannot get tenure or they are near retiring. But the number of people in these categories would not be enough to supply new professors for the non-research universities. Is this correct?
