Btw, they were luckier than their allies counter part in German camp, since they got shovels. They asked their American guards if they could dig a vallyball court, and the guards provided them with digging tools. Eventually 25 of them escaped, according to the official press, and were returned after a month long hideout. But some said 60 escaped, and 25 of them were caught. None of those 25 were tortured after being caught.
