It is a good practice to mention the sponsor's name in your speech for this kind of commercial activity. In order to invite a nobel prize winner to give a talk, the 出场费 is at the level of $50K even in US. Usually, this is not pure science based. You need to read his talks "between the lines".

To my understanding, some success has been made in this area. I guess that could be one of his motives? He is just doing research-reasoning and experiment, if possible.
