I was just chatting with colleagues who told a few examples:

In 1996 a school massacre in England prompted the British to ban all hand guns in their nation. Last year in England there were 51 people killed with guns.'

After a mass shooting in Australia in 1980s, Australia government started a 'buying back' program, effectively lowering the number of gun death.

...

Americans simply turn blind to these examples. Gun rights are higher than human life. This I found to be the biggest hypocrisy of US.
