just like ever other nation.
overseas chinese better be more humble, time has changed. old ways don't apply anymore.
when i was young and still in china, foreigners and overseas chinese got so much preferential treatments, it's simply not right. remember waihuichuan? in 1993 BJ still some fancy stuff one would need that. in my school, the most beautiful flocked around african students. chines elites tried every way go abroad.
myself once asked a famous scholar and got advice "go abroad and only back later when you still want that".
well, now i am abroad and have no intention back. seeing china get better is nice, but not much else. seeing parents when they still alive, not much else. guess many
feel that way too.
happy for china if good happen, sad if bad. not much else.
haven't been back for a while, last time back saw chinese passing customs much faster than foreigners, i got nicely surprised, that'show you should own citizens!
we overseas people if still want some good experience inside china, better stay low, humble, expect less, think more about difficulty, just like you visit any other country. and don't forget, despite so much fuss, china still treat foreigners better
