several ideas:

population control is absolutely right. japan should be every nation's model. one can question the way of control, but not the spirit. pity few people dare to speak out in favor of it. biden just spoke vaguely in chengdu, then got huge backfire.

less working hours. people got more own time, so more oppotunities to spend.

how to fight with robots? no way, no one can draw a perfect circle or line or copy a handwriting manually. basically everything done in a rationally has to eventually go to robots or with minimal human monitoring. that leaves the majority of jobs to help on mental needs. i dare to say loudly, sex worker is a big part of future.

of course it is not easy, needs lots of creativity of us. but no need to be pessimistic, i have to say again. think this way, hundreds years ago, most nationas still put agriculture as #1 job (many still do now), not anymore, ameirca only has about 1% now, but huge productivity. why we not dare to imagine a future of 2% agriculture and manufacture, mostly service and "happying" jobs ( i think majority of future jobs will be making people happy)?

as long as we put stem 1st, in science we trust, we will mange this job crisis, just we human beings have been with all other ones in our history.
