回答: What about J.D.? 由 HunHunSheng 于 2005-8-26, 15:53:45:
they cannot practice until they finish an one-year study of L.L.M (Master of Laws), and have passed the state bar exams. Or alternatively, they will have to go through the 3-year J.D. study just like everyone else.
The shortcut is ofcourse doing an L.L.M, but extremely few foreign L.L.Ms can land a job in the US doing US legal practice, except for our kins the Brits, and almost 100% of the Chinese L.L.Ms are shipped back to China right after graduation or a year's training in New York.
