Normally the death ratio in combat opeartions is 1:5, means every 5 casulties is amounted one death. Considering the severe weather situation in Chang Jing Lake and CVR almost have no logistics and resues (this has been verified by PLA's official documents), this ratio is reasonablly lifted to 1:3.
Even PLA conceded its loss in Chang Jing Lake campaign is 48156, including combat casulty and freezing loss. With the 1:3 ratio, the PLA had at least lost 15000 lives in the campaign. Are those died in freezing not considered dedicated themself to the campaign? They surely are part of loss in the operation.
US claimed they kill 25000 CVR soliders, and fatally freezing weather added more. I tried to be fair by not picking highest numbers.
The death toll foes up to 15000 on CVR side, that maight be the minimal.
