回答: Ebay上有什么好方法可以哄抬物价而又不被人轻易发觉? 由 peanut 于 2005-9-12, 12:47:26:
Usually the seller can maximize her revenue by setting a reserved price (I guess it's available in eBay's system) in the English aution (de facto 2nd price aution for private value case).
If you believe people are rational and have private valuation--i.e. won't increase their value of the object simply because the object is bidded up (OK, this is not a trival faith), I doubt bidding up its price until you are satisfied the price bidded by others, then let the true bidders compete, is a de facto reserved price.
I should be able to prove it given enough time (not an expert in those terrible mechanism design microeconomics....not a tricky person in nature...)
Of course, for valuation based on information revealed from other's bids...The calculation is more indirect and I need to consult a book to tell you whether you are wise to哄抬物价
