Professor 王 who was invloved in directly.
From Professor Cheng's letter, I might believe that
S.T. Yau did not make a FORMAL proposal to him or
HK Math. Soc.. However, if one know how close Professor
Cheng and ST Yau are, and how much influence ST Yau
has in Hongkong, one might guess that a private
suggestion from Yau is enough to let HKMS to do something.
What we need perhaps is a 声明 from Professor Wang
