佛经说：人生八苦，生老病死，求不得，爱别离，怨憎会，五阴炽盛

1 suffering of birth (jätidubkba), 2 of aging (jara), 3 of disease (vyadbi), 4 of death (marana), 5 suffering of association with what is unpleasant (apriyasamprayoga), 6 suffering of separation from what is pleasant (prlyaviprayoga), 7 suffering if one does not obtain what one desires (yad apicchan na labhate), and 8 in brief (samksiptena) the five aggregates of attachment (pancopadanaskandba) are suffering.
