normally, the vertical resolution is 800/900 lines, then 1050 lines and 1200 lines. You have to take a look and try yourself. I got a 1050 lines one when I bought Dell D820. It is too small to my eyes. replaced with 800 lines screen.

why I bought a Dell D820? it is company paid, business model (heavy and solid), 7200rpm hard drive, more importantly, its non-glossy screen. I do not have problem with glossy screen. It is very colorful. I like it when I had a Toshiba notebook. But I prefer a non-reflecting screen.

Also, be careful with large hard drive (>120GB). they are slow 4200rpm.
