That is what has happened to me. Recently I saw a small flying gray sport in front of my eyes when I was reading the fine prints. It became darker when I was facing the sunlight while my eyes were closed.
One of my eye was injured from a small stone when I was a child. So naturally I thought I had a physical trauma of the eye. I had a foundus picture done without and with contrast after my eyes were dilated but they found nothing.
I begun to ask the eye specialist how to get rid of that floater? Guess what he said?
"There is no surgical intervention. However, you can raise you head up and let the gravity to pull it down so the floater won't be at you macular area."
Then I said I should sleep upright? He said no, just put 3 pillows on your back to raise your head up a bit.
I thought this was a strange idea. If it works, the floater, whatever it is, must have a higher specific density than the jelly-like vitrious.
Anyway, I will give it a try.
