1. What they are doing is very basic, but still important: crystallisation "screening" of large group of organic compounds. It will be good and neccesary for us to have large amount of such information.
2. They have got their ways of experiment-to-paper stream lines; this is an excellent and important experience, which is not possible in many other subjects. Therefore they are catching a rare opportunity.
3. They are or they have good teams of highly-skilled engineers and scientists. Other countries might not care about their works or simply don't have competible teams who are able to be working faster and better than them.
In scientific research, the way, which is carried out and making progresses, is formed in certain context. The easier scientists can publish their results, the more progress they are likely to make.
