Many of those so-called Yangtse scholars do not work full-time in China.
If people want to attack Pan, then they should critize Pan in this aspect
rather than say that Pan cheated about his prizes or fellowship
and that the paper co-authored by Pan can not counted as Pan's paper.
Although Pan's prizes or fellowship are used for research,
they are not common-sense grants. So I think it is ok to
translate them as 研究大奖。
Everyone will list all the papers in his CV no matter whether
he is a first-author or co-author.
