I guess you are saying as the information we have is larger and larger, and its distribution is more and more uniformly, the cultures across this globe should converge.

When I stress this statement to its logical ends, it's not difficult to arrive that 2 societies facing the same information SHOULD have the same (nearly the same) culture, and if they are different, at least one is sub-optimal (let's not use the word "right" or "wrong"). We do observe some convergance across the globe, while this speed is much much slower than the convergence in the information set. So it's reasonable to suspect whether a final convergence will happen.

If the final convergence fails and we have various cultures. Which one is sub-optimal? And as what we do on sub-optimal things is to "improve" it, this can really leads to something like what Social Darwinists will say...
