I just want to show you science is not as narrowly defined as you thought. And 理科人士 don't always take an hour to make a decision when it starts to rain very hard.
Your criterion for a good decision vs. bad decision is oversimplified too. Due to the uncertainty of future events, even a good decision might be "unlucky" sometimes and bad decision might be "lucky". So the outcome is not the only criterion.
