>I said in my previous post that Chancellor is like the chairperson of the board of director.
Chancellor is NOT like the chair of the board of director in any way. See the link you provided for details, or the definition I copied in previous post. Chancellor is elected by alumni, not from board. The position is clearly stated non-executive. In the org chart, you can see the position is not the chair as well.

>They participate in day-to-day executive, and yet they do get report from the president of the university.
They don't participate in executive activities at all, as the duty clearly defined. They do NOT get any report in executive perspective. They do work close with president, especially for fundraising, as you pointed out, but that's it.

>I also pointed out there are Chinese officials with chinese title of "大学校长”and they don't perform duties equivlent to the president of a universities in british system either, in fact, they don't even perform the role of a chancellor.
Chinese 大学校长 do, or at least should, perform equivlent duties as president in british university system. The officials do not involved in daily activities in China are so-called secrectaries of GCP. However, they are the strategic decision-makers and 大学校长s really report to them. Because there was no fundraising demand, Chinese univerities do not have equivalent Chancelor position.

>But the point I have been trying to make is that Chancellor is not a honorarium title
It is not a honorary title, but is clearly defined as a TITULAR title in many places.
