0) my background: did VLSI design . took UCB Pertersons architecture course many years ago.

1) your idea has no chance of industrial success.

2) if you want to go academic, the main problem is the area is kind of old. no (few) school would
hire faculty working on this area.

3) same reason for 2), less and less companies will hire 研究人员 working on this topic.
You may think your work will solve the bottle-neck of .... But for industrial, there are too many
bottle-necks.

4) I don't think it is a good idea for you to continue work on this as a 独立研究人员.

5) your patent may make you a funtune 10 years late. but do not rely on it now.
to get a patent here in the US is not a big deal. Personally I think I have ideas for 5-10 patents.
But I am not applying because: a) for ideas used in my product, to patent is not the right way to
protect it. People will find alternative ways. b) it takes time/money to apply.

6) what should you do?
a) split your paper and xxxx them to conferences and journals. Make them look xxxxal and you will
have some publications.
b) for each of "operation unit" in your paper, make a patent draft. do not really file.
c) conduct Universities, both US and China. show them waht your have/will have.
For US schools, look at teaching oriented ones.

7) In short:
to continue the research is a bad idea.
try to sell it now.
do not sell it to people that are experts on this.
consider tier-3schools or Chinese schools as the platxxxx for your future jumping.

goo luck!
