loser because my time was spent for nothing. To make it even I invested more time to investigate the subject of information asymmetric in hope of actually learning something. This led me come across this article: "The Market of Lemons: Qualitative Uncertainty and the Market Mechanism". I think you guys should read it. Mind you it helped a guy win the NB prize!
Now I have your attention. But I'm not going to give out the story so easily. You have to dig by yourselves, and you will discover that it helps you to understand what the REAL problem is in Pan's case.
Then I gave a bit thought about the subject, and start questioning the valuation of FREE SPEECH. You all know free speech is good do you. But "free speech is good for the society" is only an ideology to me. I need to know why it is good? what does free speech mean? If I can't get these answers this statement is only a belief, an assumption at most.
You all know Americans have the the best free speech in the world and you can hardly make any more improvement, or so to believe. But why there is still many forms of information asymmetric exist between government and tax payers? Why tax payers always feel they are short changed, or in other words they are getting lemons from time to time, all the time? So I realize that legislated absolute free speech always leads to absolute free flow of information is an assumption. Becasue there is no such thing as FREE flow! We all know information carries value, how come it can be passed around FREE? For example I am writing this to you in hope you will read it so I will generate some value or do some damage to this forum. I am all free to do so, but at cost of FZZ's IT resource. If I don't use this forum and I don't spent anything to build my own web forum I would be talking to myself, which generates no benefit ot does no damage to anyone anywhere, therefore my free speech would carry no value at all.
