I have read some. I feel my body will simply dose not accept that foreign material (rejection) and I might have to have the metal plate and screws removed afterward because of the irritations.

Seemingly all surgeries are done for closing the gap between fibula and talus because of the fracture of fibula. My situation is the gap between Tibia and talus on the side due to the torn ligament. the alignment of my foot is pretty good and I think the gap will become less over time.

Anyway. I will talk to a non-Surgeon foot doctor.
