what you said involves mostly non-recurring costs anyway.

If you know Chinese auto market you would know SUVs and trucks are considered inferior to sedans of similar size/capacity so tehy are priced lower than cars. As a result manufacturers are under pressure to improve efficiency in order to reduce costs. That of course is very different compared to US market. I thought it was too good to be true too until I visited the showroom and took a test drive. In fact that's the only reason I spent time to do that as I have no intention of buying it. GW products are very popular in China so they have the scale of economy.

It's always a good thing to have an open mind. Chinese manufacturers these days are very good at improving operation efficiency and reducing cost and they are getting better every day. Things US manufacturers can't achieve may be achieved by chinese in the near future. Do you know the smallest 4-seater chery QQ is sold under RMB30k(USD3500) over there?
