There is a waiver available for inadmissinbility on
party and its affilioation memebership grounds. But
if one lie about it and was later found out, one
commited a perjury.
If you read instruction on I485 and N400 form, you often find such warning like something is OK but if
you lied about it then yoru application will be denied
