..."All your base..." came from a poor translation of some Japanese video game, and had been used as a pretty much meaningless joke phrase on the net. "Long time no see", on the other hand, is a legit English phrase, although it also started as a joke phrase. According to The American Heritage Dictionary: "Long time no see...This jocular imitation of broken English originated in the pidgin English used in Chinese and Western exchange in the late 1800's"
