It looks like the test target isn't very fast, perhaps somewhere between 1 to 2 km/s. It is only my speculation. Because according to the Chinese news agency, China tested the interceptor in its own territory, and that implies it is a short range missile. That is kind of strange, midcourse usually describe ICMB, which range is much bigger, and midcourse delta-v (velocity) is much faster. However, if China did test ICMB, the trajectory has to end at somewhere in the Pacific. Of course, this depends the meaning of "within Chinese territory."
