They are interesting, and may have some evolutionary implications, but it has nothing to do with human survival.
Important studies are hopelessly burried in these frivolous observations.
I am very much dismayed by the publication policies in these journals, and even the whole science community in general. People are so enthusiastic in reporting misc findings under the premises that little things will add up to big things. That everything is important by itself render into nothing important.
