It applies to the 5th amendment too. If the
police beat a suspect and force him to confess.
Then confession is not admissible. If Person A
beat Person B into making a confession of
selling drugs. Person A can be arrested by beating
other people but the confession made by Person B
can be used to prosecute Person B (of course,
the his attorney can still argue such confession
is not reliable but the confession is entered
as evidence alreay)
