Revenge attack
Chinese doctor Xiao Chuanguo has been jailed for 5·5 months for planning revenge attacks on two writers who accused him of fraud. According to police, Xiao, a urologist from Wuhan, admitted to paying four men US$15 000 to assault Fang Xuangchang and Fang Shimin, who criticised a nerve-rerouting procedure that Xiao pioneered and practised.
