But it's not the government's job to dictate what consumers need to buy. Instead it should raise the awareness of this issue and let consumers to decide whether they need such feature or not (provided manufacturers give this as an option).
Most drivers propabaly will pay attention to tire pressure, as long as they are informed it is a safty issue. Why shoul they pay such premium just to save a small number of careless drivers? And such device does not prevent accident caused by sudden deflation at high speed anyway.
