In classic mechanics, people distinguish wave and particle. Wave doesn't transfer mass, only movement. Imagine the human wave in the soccer field, everybody just sit down and get up, the wave is formed and passed. The movement of particle transfers mass. Say, a bullet.
However, everything is messed up on the quantum level. Say, an electron. A single electron is both particle and wave. It inteferes with itself. Bormbarding electrons on crystal forms diffraction pattern. Mathematically, it is almost the same as light diffraction.
Science is mostly about explaination and reasoning. 量子力学 is very confusing(at least to me). However, those people who criticized it before understanding it is too stupid. Simply use 花粉 to compare 粒子 on the quantum level is more than stupid.
