the all the candidates meet the same criteria, the result won't be the same from machines to machines. One example is ethernet, the CSMA/CD scheme works as the follow: the sender sends one 1bit frame to the media, and if it senses collision, meaning some other parties are sending, the sender waits for a random time period before retransmit. If two computers does everything exactly the same, once collision happens, these two machines will both be in deadlock.
