may consume more power, not because of android, but the hardware extras those makers need to compete with iPad. To compete with iPad, they may need to added USB port/SanDisk slots, more RAM, faster bus etc. All these cost power.

The biggest problem with Flash is that it is designed with mouse, called mouseover, and keyboard in mind. Games, menu and even Video player have the sense of mouse. Try hulu you will know. Even though most users use flash for video, majority of flash apps are games, and menu etc. For multi-touch screen, there is no mouse or keyboard.

There is no good way to get around this, even recode the site. But if you have to recode it, why not use HTML5, which is a standard, rather than a particular vendor's technology?
