Bin Laden reportedly married his first wife, a Syrian named Najwan Ibrahim Ghanem, in 1974, when he was 17. She is the mother of about 11 of the 25 or 26 children bin Laden has reportedly fathered over the years. By 2002, he reportedly had married three additional women.
