Geosats right above Africa alone is not enough to do the job either. It is not in the Line-of-sigh of both continents. China has a relay sat somewhere in Pacific, I need to check if China has sats on the orbits that covers Africa. If they have, they can use their geosats on Pacific as relay. Worst case, they can use intelsats, and send encrypted messages.
