You misunderstood my points. 歧视 is unreasonalbe from the beginning, it has do direct relationship with income(like the case of NJ). For well educated people in developled countries, this kind of 歧视 is more like the rivaries in football field. People just make fun of each other.
There were big parade of Germans and German Descendents in Pilly and NYC every year. Many of them are from the south, they wore leather pants and dressed like women to celebrate the friendship between Germany and USA. Some of my colleagues attend this kind of parade, they like to make fun of the people from the mountains in the south and even Munich.
