Yeah, Basenji is stubborn and can be hard to train;they are not dumb, but stubborn, because it is an older breed...one fo the oldest domesticated breeds.

For example, I notice sometimes when we call her and she hears you but she chooses to ignore; she looks at u, and keeps going mind her own business, then you have to call her again & make sure she listens to you.... But most of time, she is fine and can do a lot of tricks....oh, Basenji doesn't like water, not like other dogs that love to swim etc.
