3D is not really 3D by the law of physics, so you will feel cross eyed no matter what.
However, my friend who is a guru in TV industry asks me, if everything else is the same, a 3D TV will cost $50 more, why not buy it.
My suggestion is pay attention to the 2D features, pay as little as possible for the 3D part. And most importantly, don't let your boy watch 3D tv.
