my best and most generous guess is that you are up to something like sci-tech education, although science and technology are rather different animals. but if that's what you are up to, surely it is very useful. look at any major university in the US and you will find (often university-wide) educational programs on teaching and science and technology and/or using technology in teaching, not mentioning all those sci-tech-related subjects in secondary schools. often, such endeavors of innovative teaching methods are initiated by specialized professors themselves, instead of education specialists; as a matter of fact, a few years ago a Nobel Laureate Professor here at my university won U.S. Professor of the Year for his innovative teaching methods. in an average college of education, you are apt to find such programs as Curriculum & Instruction interesting.
