　　湖南大学土木工程学院院长肖岩教授的身兼两职的问题

　　今天看文章，发现一个教授兼职的问题，我不太了解，所以特地写信请教一
下。今天看到一篇肖岩教授今年发表的一篇文章，上面写的通讯地址是南加州大
学。我记得肖教授现在已经是湖南大学土木学院的院长，觉得有点奇怪，特地上
网查了一下。在南加州大学土木与环境系的Full-Time and Research Faculty一
栏可以找到肖岩教授的主页

里面有肖岩教授的研究介绍（At the USC Stevens 
Institute Innovation Showcase, held on March 28th, 2007, Prof. Yan 
Xiao’s innovative design of modern bamboo bridges was selected as one 
of the only three exhibitions. Professor Xiao spent his sabbatical 
leave last year conducting and directing collaborative research at the 
Hunan University of China, creating ways to use the “giant grass” as 
raw material for making composite materials for structural 
applications.），但是在湖南大学的网站上，在肖岩教授的简介里
（http://ce.hnu.cn/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=595&Itemid=290），
他从2006年5月起就已就任湖南大学土木工程学院院长。难道可以一边
在南加州大学当full-time教授，同时又兼任湖南大学土木工程学院院长一职的
吗？如果仅在假期回国，时间是否有所不够？抑或是我理解有错误？
