从来自浙大学报英文版A辑编辑的邮件说起

方先生，

不久前收到下面这封来自浙大学报英文版A辑编辑的邮件，真让我哭笑不得!

问题如下：

1. Subject的首字母应该大写；

2. 'our rejection rate'应该是'rejection rate of the received 
manuscripts'；

拒稿率到底是不是79%，我无法验证。刚才我以'Publication Name=(JOURNAL OF 
ZHEJIANG UNIVERSITY-SCIENCE*)'为关键字在Web of Science里查了一下，引用
次数为零的论文占该期刊系列所有被引用论文的比率为(912-193)/912=0.788%!
其它被引论文的引用次数的分布为（括号内数字为论文篇数）：12(1), 6(1), 
5(4), 4(4), 3(8), 2(46), 1(129)。

3. '(and not to appear in the zero-citation list)'

主语是啥？哪里来的the zero-citation list？

4.  'we hope you can bring your paper to the attention of colleagues 
and researchers who we hope will cite your work in the future.'  

只要论文不属于剽窃或者一稿多投的情况，作者没有理由不这样做吧？

5. 'Opportunities...'

What are the opportunities?

6. 'Thank you for your support for JZUS'

'JZUS' should be 'JZUS-A'.

另外，无意中看到了Top 10 SCI cited papers in JZUS-A
（http://www.zju.edu.cn/jzus/conflink/sci-cite-A.pdf），排在第一的文章
为Chen Wei-Qiu等人的"Three-dimensional analysis of a thick FGM 
rectangular plate inthermal environment"。我没有在Web of Science里找到
这篇文章。在Google Scholar的记录里，我发现该文只被其它作者在同一杂志引
用过一次!

没心思再查下去了。作为浙大校友，我已经对这个学报感到非常失望了!与其花
心思来写这样让人鄙视的邮件，为何不提高期刊的服务和论文质量呢？我想至少
下面这些问题属于可以解决的问题吧。

1. 投稿文件格式以Latex为主，Word为辅。

拒绝此意见的人不妨自己将一篇理工科论文从Latex格式转为Word格式看看。

2. 重新设计学报的格式，提供Latex模板。

作为一个新设的期刊，而且号称为国际期刊，难道格式不应该美观大方吗？

对此有异议者，不妨打印一篇IEEE或Elsevier的期刊论文来对比一下。

目前格式的最大硬伤就是Section没有标号。这造成论文的层次不够，还有不方
便引用文中前面的内容。

3. 免除50块钱的审稿费。

4. 像Progress in Natural Science一样，选择Elsevier作为出版伙伴。

据我所知，Elsevier在数据库检索、论文预通知、论文预出版等方面比Springer
的服务要好很多。
