most of the processors used in missiles are not for computing intensive target, they don't have to be very fast since there aren't that many tasks to do anyway. The processors on those things have to work with extreme parameters such as high heat/low temperature. The power consumption and heat are more critical than the bits of a word. Those chips are definitely not for missle.
